Feynman Technique

Introduction

The Feynman technique is a method of study prescribed by the American physicist Richard Feynman. This technique involves studying a particular topic and explaining that topic to someone younger than you. After explaining the topic identify the concepts that you have missed or forgotten and review them again. This technique is supposed to activate one's long-term memory and make them remember it for a prolonged period of time.

Experience

I tried this technique for only one day. This technique works really well with theoretical subjects but it is obvious that it wouldn't work very well for subjects like mathematics as it would only be useful to revise certain concepts. For example, making an eighth-grader understand problems on integral calculus is a very difficult deed. Any concept can be taught using this method but solving problems are a bit more challenging.

Conclusions
I would recommend this technique for theoretical subjects like biology, history, geography, etc. It would also be preferred if a student can find another person at a maximum of two years younger than themselves so that the concept can be explained with ease.
