First semester at the University of Toronto


 Being an international student at the University of Toronto was a dream come true, never had I expected myself to come to such an environment, the process of coming to this environment invoked a range of emotions in me, of them leaving my family and friends took the foreground. 

Nevertheless, I persevered and came to Canada alone, the instant I looked at the campus I was awestruck by its beauty. The silence of the campus was a pleasant change from my always bustling hometown, the community of students were so integrated that we all felt like one big family, it was amazing.

The first semester though being online had classes that were significantly different from high school, I finally understood the caliber of this university, the lectures were all made to be engraved in our brains for the rest of our lives for future use and purpose. Having mostly memorised a wide range of terms and definitions in high school, I definitely struggled for the first few days to understand how things had immense practical applications and how I could not survive university by storing things in my head...

I had to implement things I learnt



And that is exactly what I did, I started to analyse and correlate everything with what I learnt in my lectures, this I felt was the best process with which anyone could ever understand: APPLY TO LEARN.

These efforts of mine attained fruition when my final exam grades were released and I realised how I had to study....
